Shae Strait, M. Arch., BAD Buildings Project Associate

Shae Strait is a Project Associate at the Northern West Virginia Brownfields Assistance Center. Shae works with communities on economic development, brownfield and abandon building re-use, project identification, project prioritization, and coordinating stakeholder groups.

Shae has experience with various architecture firms performing hand rendering, digital rendering, graphic design, schematic design, construction documents, site analysis, existing condition surveys, and BIM modeling. Shae also has six years of engineering experience working with the Army National Guard performing topographic surveying, construction surveying, construction project management, drafting, and project quality control. His professional interests include sustainable architecture and communities, micro economics, urban planning, historic preservation, and conceptual visioning.

Shae earned his Master of Architecture degree at Fairmont State University along with his Bachelors of Science in Architecture. The master’s program focused on Appalachian small town urban revitalization and sustainable architecture.
